AN IRISH WILLIAM III SILVER BLEEDING BOWL, of plain circular form c.1699, with flat waisted handle, engraved with a crest of a dagger held aloft by an arm CRUX CHRIST NOSTRA CORONA, (c.60 troy ozs). 12.5cm diameter This would appear to have belonged to Dr Mercer, a leading Dublin medic of the day, whose name was perpetuated by Mercer's Hopsital founded by Mary Mercer.
