An unusually large dated Ottoman embroidered brown leather wallet, inscribed "Constantinople 1723" to front, of rectangular form with fold-over cover and engraved metal lock, with gilt floral decoration to interior flap, red silk lined interior, with 19th century label to inside of "Leon Gruel, relieur d'art, Objets et Livres Anciens, 418 rue St Honore, Paris", with a document in the name of Sultan Abdul Hamid, 41 x 31.5cm.
