South India, late 19th Centuryof rectangular form, decorated in polychrome pigments on cotton, with depictions of Vishnu, Shiva and Kartikeya with consorts and mounts, each depicted within a shrine, flanked by Ganesh and an attendant, depicted within an interior hung with textiles and separated by columns, on a ground of flowerheads and floral motifs, within a border of flowerheads, identifying inscriptions in Tamil
