●朱屺瞻（1892-1996），号起哉，别号二瞻老民。江苏太仓人。八岁起临摹古画，中年时期两次东渡日本学习油画。五十年代後主攻中国画。历任上海艺术专科学校教授、西画系研究所主任。1949年後曾为中国美协顾问，美协上海分会常务理事，中国书协理事，上海大学艺术系教授，上海中国画院画师，上海文史研究馆馆员。擅山水、花卉，尤精兰、竹、石。创作继承传统，融会中西，致力创新，而具有鲜明的民族特色和个人风格。
