It is probable that the surfaces have been refreshed and that the piece has undergone some conservation at some point. Overall there are some old marks, wear and scratches in keeping with light use. The are a few indentations to the top that are fairly new and a group of scratches on the top shelf, left side that are also fairly recent. Some age separation to joints and some lifting of the veneer on the undershelf in keeping with age. There are new screws used for the top shelf and possibly later added/or replaced struts (these are not brand new) at the back to give stability to the superstructure. Some attention given to the base. Natural wear to handles. Overall presents well and can be taken home and placed.
