Shaded apricot mihrab with similar design. In an arabesque and inscription cartouches border between flowering vine and plainstripes. This rug has full pile of very fine soft silk and part fine metal thread and is in very good condition throughout. Selvages and ends original. Very fine weave, approx: 9 x 8 knots per sq. cm; woven on silk foundation. Very attractive.
