『马头明王』是藏传佛教无上密乘的十一位忿怒明王之一，密宗视为观世音化现的忿怒像，故又称『马头观音』藏语称『丹真』，也有说是无量寿佛的忿怒身。 本尊马头明王三面六臂六足，三目圆睁，赤发红须，毛发上竖，头戴五骷髅冠，上置三只仰首马头，耳垂圆珰，张口露牙，呈忿怒相。胸前以璎珞为饰，身挂骷髅头项链，腰围虎皮裙。臂钏、手镯和脚镯等佩饰秀美规整。右手分别持有金刚杵。下承单层覆莲座，莲瓣宽大厚实。通体金水饱满，造型动感十足，栩栩如生。
