Qianlong mark and of the period, painted in underglaze blue to the interior with a stylized peony medallion within a double ring, the flared sides decorated with eight lança characters within flowering lotus stems issuing from acanthus leaves, the underside painted with a frieze of lotus lappets, above a tall spreading foot

Bottom with a gallery seal that could be over one hundred years old.

Provenance: Purchased from the son from the estate of Lillian Graves Kendall (1925-Jan 2019). World travelled and collector of chines porcelain. ( mostly late and unfortunately almost all rather damaged.)been in the family at least 70 years .
