霁红釉创烧于明初景德镇御器厂，清代沿袭烧造，由于掌握窑内气氛的工艺难度较大，呈色鲜艳纯正者，一向受到鉴赏家青睐。拍品腹部饱满，造型敦实沉稳，瓶身满施霁红釉，釉面肥厚温润，隐现橘皮纹，发色均匀纯正，反映霁红釉烧制技术的成熟。品相保存良好。参阅：《故宫博物院藏文物珍品大系—颜色釉》，商务印书馆（香港）有限公司、上海科学技术出版社，1999年，页29，图26
