“秋水”一词亦指清朗的气质，唐人杜甫《徐卿二子歌》：秋水为神玉为骨。宋人苏轼《次韵王定国颍倅》亦有：仙风入骨已凌云，秋水为文不受尘。此壶胎色纯正，胎体坚实，制作痕迹宛然可见。盖顶饰宝珠钮，圈把垂耳，流略弯，壶腹饱满，气度秀逸。壶底铭刻诗文，并落款“孟臣制”。
