此壶朱泥制成，砂质细腻，颜色鲜艳，极为讨巧。壶身作圆形，压盖上接圆珠壶钮，盖内修坯极精，可见作者制砂工艺之深厚。直嘴，圈把，出水爽利，执拿舒适，圈足更是修刮成六棱形。此类圆珠造型小壶，最解茶性，最宜冲泡武夷名枞，试取初翻鱼眼之水，高注入内，岩骨枞香，壶中自来。壶底錾刻“孟臣制”三字。
