A dragon-decorated inkstoneQing dynasty
Heavy in weight and of thick rectangular section with rounded corners, the ink well and grinding surface carved in relief and surrounded by a delicate raised edge that resolves into a pair of facing strap dragons at the top, the underside also finished with a shallow rectangular recess; with fitted huali wood cover and storage tray.
1 1/4 x 7 58 x 5in (3.1 x 9.4 x 12.8cm) the inkstone (3).
