：该笔筒以紫檀为材，圆筒形。形制规整。外壁采用薄地浮雕法刻饰陶渊明松下采菊场景。一棵苍松下，陶渊明一手策杖、一首持菊；侍童捧菊侍候，笔筒整体构图疏朗，主从关系交待分明。陶渊明雕就得外表儒雅飘逸，内心高洁怡然，中国古代高士归隐风范尽显。作品题材高雅，雕琢精细，包浆明亮。雕刻技法和风格则代表了吴之璠杰出的竹雕成就。这种去地浮雕法，介于朱氏高浮雕与浅浮雕之间，然则移植于紫檀之上，另有一番情趣。
