砚边刻铭印章：雄才(阳刻)
砚边刻铭款识：庚午（1990年）之春于端州，雄才。
砚边刻铭释文：与墨伴，共长青。
提要：此硯為坑仔岩。砚作长方平板式，线条工整典雅，触手成雾，通砚有蕉叶白，胭脂火捺，玫瑰紫青花等石品，实为难得。
黎雄才（1910—2001），广东肇庆人，岭南画派四大家之一。岭南画派卓有成就的代表人物。擅长巨幅山水画，精于花鸟草虫，画作气势浑厚，自具风貌，被评论界称为“黎家山水”。
