黄新波（1916—1980）广东江门台山人，中国新兴木刻运动的先行者，我国第一代有卓越成就和国际影响的版画家，同时也是一位出色的美术活动家、油画家和诗人。亦是现代主义新美 术的倡导者。历任中国美术家协会副主席、美协广东分会主席、广东画院院长、广东省文联副主席。
