ON DAY-2: from Lot-448 through Lot-487, and continued from Lot-620 through Lot-760. LOT NOTES: Ou Haonian, a Chinese painter, was born in Wuchuan, Guangdong province in 1935. He settled down in Taiwan in 1970 and has taught in the Department of fine arts of Chinese Culture University. He is now the first person in Taiwan's painting circle. At the age of 17, Ou studied with Zhao Shaoang, a master of Lingnan School. He is good at painting flowers, birds, landscapes, people, animals, and also quite invovled with calligraphy and poetry. His artistic achievements are diverse and rich. At the age of 20, he participated in the Southeast Asia Tour Exhibition. In the following decades, he has been invited to exhibitions overseas, which has been recognized and respected by the international art world. In 1993, he won the special prize of the biennial exhibition of the Paris Palace Museum of the French National Academy of fine arts.
