Stunning, Lustrous, Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, Qianlong hundred dear zun motif porcelain vase. The Porcelain potted in a Zun shaped vase, thick, globular body, slighty ovoid body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent straight neck, two archaic ruyi handles emerging and flanked on the neck, raised with short splayed foot base rim. All reserved in hand painting ornamentations, rendered in clean white under glazed ground color which contrast against the wucai design color. WuCai or five-color shades and tones, brightly painted in WuCai design, Opaque colors around the exterior, between the filling motif decorated in colorful vivid sgrafitto ground of uptala. The Exterior delicately fine depicted with hundred deer in various pursuit on the mountain landscape with dense tree, rocky hill and peace lishui water. The Hundred Deer motif is referring to a long career in civil service, since the Chinese word lu for deer is a homophone for emolument or civil service salary. The 'hundred Bai deer motif' therefore represent the ultimate success in Imperial China scholarly success and a long career in government service. The idea conveyed in the Hundred Deer design is a wish for great wealth and success. Vase decorated with the Hundred Deer motif can be more readily found painted in the wucai enamels. The deer symbolizes immortality and is the companion of Shoulao, the God of Longevity, while the inclusion of peaches and lingzhi fungus in the decoration is often a further symbolic of longevity. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. The porcelain conformed all required specimen to be high valued Chinese porcelain wares, with finest material, the whiteness, the glaze, and the carving. Without overlap the outlines of the design, well carved, clear, subtle, distinct, and the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
