Rare, carved Chinese spinach-green jade in rectangular shaped plaques, intrigue carved with Buddha figures and Buddhist prayer inscriptions in gilt characters enclosed within auspicious motif cartouches. The green jade tablet looks like an album. Carved on both sides, the front side is a painting; on the back upper part, it is carved with Buddhist Sutra calligraphy in Chinese Characters. The green jade shows dark green translucent, with lighter and darker iridescent. The original gilt bronze covered box intrigue hand carved with Eight Buddhist Emblems over a endless knotted swastika lattice ground enclosed within key fret pattern, adorned with carved rectangular celadon jade and gilt inscription emblemed on the top lid.
