Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, Jiajing doucai motif porcelain wine cup. The Porcelain potted in wine cup, of inverted bell form, deep curved side, bulbous lower body steep round straight upward to straight opening mouth rim, raised on short footed ring. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white under glaze base color which contrast against the doucai design color. Doucai decoration the design is outlined in under glaze blue and filled in with over glaze colored enamels except blue. Colors which fit together but also contrasting or joined colors. Decoration in a combination of under glaze cobalt blue outlines and enamels added on top of the fired glaze, within the outlines. The Exterior adorned with auspicious Chinese ornament among flowers blooms pendants, scrolling ruyi, banded with single fine blue ring lines. The color is balanced, elegant and exquisite. The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned. Mark on under base, a vertical six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, enclosed within double rectangle frame borders, JiaJing Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
