Wonderful English silver squat teapot with floral repousse throughout; with cartouches to each side one depicting Romanesque figures, and the alternate standing Gods and Goddesses. Teapot is set atop snake form feet; with a wonderful floral finial to lid that fits perfectly between two intertwined snake heads applied to handle when open. Spout of teapot is comprised of a bird handle continuing down to a floral design. With London city marks, a duty mark of King George III (1786-1821), date letter of 1818, and maker's mark of IB possibly representing John Booth. Total approx. weight is 35.79 troy oz. From a New Rochelle, NY estate. Dimensions: teapot measures approx. 11" w x 6" h.
