This painting originally appeared on the Republic of the Marshall Islands Catteya x guatemalensis stamp issued September 1, 1995. Created by natural hybridization, Cattleya x guatemalensis is the result of a cross between the orange-flowered Cattleya aurantiaca and the purple-petaled Cattleya skinneri.
