Two hongmu table screens together with a bronze mirror on stand Late 19th/ early 20th century The large example set with a later mirror plate within a fretwork surround, raised on a stand with carved and pierced scrolling ruyi design frieze above splayed aprons further carved with bats over cloud scrolls on side supports carved and pierced with stylised dragons, all raised on side plinth supports, 85cm high, 68.5cm wide, 25cm deep; a smaller table screen inset with a painting of agricultural workers in the field, within a plain frame over a stand with key-fret frieze on side supports carved with scroll designs on bracket feet, the back-plate carved with fruit in a bowl on stand and ruyi and grasses in a vase, 44cm high, 40.5cm wide, 12cm deep; together with a circular bronze mirror on matching stand, the mirror with designs in relief about a central boss, 28cm diameter, the stand carved and pierced as a pair of confronting stylised dragons raised on a plinth base with corner bracket feet. 53.5cm high overall.
