A rare Caughley tea bowl and saucer circa 1790 of faceted form, painted in a famille rose palette with baskets of flowers, leaves and scattered flowerts, within puce and iron red dot and line border, unmarked, tea bowl 8cm diameter, saucer 12.5cm diameter (2) Provenance: Ex. Wychwood Collection. Notes: No comparable Caughley pieces appear to be recorded with this typical New Hall style decoration. See Caughley in Colour Exhibition Catalogue 2005 plate 286 for reference.
