A large and impressive pair of highly decorative stencilled wall mirrors, retailed by Liberty of London, in the Art Deco style, of rectangular form with canted corners, each decorated in stencilled silver nitrate with a scene detailing a business / board meeting, a central figure stands at the foot of a table, his jacket adorned with a carnation boutonnière, standing beneath a portrait hanging on the wall, before a table around which six figures sit, one smoking a pipe, an open book sits beside the standing figure, with a closed book to the foreground titled 'Memo' and signed to the spine 'CAS', each measuring 166 x 127 cm. This pair of mirrors are consigned for sale by the vendor who purchased them from Liberty of London in 1974 or 1975, a photograph of the vendor seated in his living room in 1976 shows the mirrors in situ. They have not entered the market since this purchase some 44 years ago.
