A large Canton carved ivory puzzle ball on figural stand, Qing dynasty, late 19th century, the ball carved with an intricate outer surface of scaly dragons amongst cloud scrolls and flowers and containing a series of smaller delicately pierced balls (some damage) raised on a figural stand, perhaps representing Guan Yu and attendant below a revolving pierced cylinder raised on a circular plinth carved with a band of flowers and bamboo over a pierced dragon scroll border, puzzle ball 9cm diameter, stand 24.5cm high, overall height 32cm (2)
