A Roman terracotta Molossian hound, circa 1st century A.D., forming part of a water spout, the foreparts of the dog modelled with well-defined curls of thick fur, with ears alert, the face with raised eyebrows, large eyes and pointed nose, 14.5cm high Provenance: Private collection, New Mexico, acquired prior to 1991.
