(at mouth); and an unglazed waisted tripod vessel, Iran, circa 2nd millenium B.C., the deep bowl with concave sides, the dark red slip decorated in black with encircling double bands, each containing irregular vertical strokes, 9cm. high x 10.5cm. diam. (2) Provenance: Jug with receipt from Bluett & Sons Ltd. dated 20th May, 1970; tripod vessel with receipt from Newman & Newman Antiques Ltd. 9, October 1969 Intact; with small chip to rim, small hole near base approx. .5 cm. wide, old soil residue
