A Mamluk Qur'an section, late 13th-early 14th century, comprising Qur'an II (sura al-baqara), vv. 1-186 (part), Arabic manuscript on paper, 12ff., plus two modern fly-leaves, each folio with 13ll. of black muhaqqaq script, with gold and polychrome rosette verse markers, read reading marks, with red thuluth marginal notes, the opening folio with gold and polychrome illuminated panels, with restored margins, in modern gilt and stamped binding with flap, folio 35.4 x 25.3cm.
