A pair of copper and silver inlaid openwork large vases, Iran, 14th century, each on a raised openwork foot rising to baluster shape and trumpet neck, decorated to foot with a pierced design of running deer, the lower body with Kufic inscription band, a pierced band of figures on horseback to body, a band of seated figures above, a further Kufic inscription to neck, the rim pierced and decorated with a frieze of running animals, 30cm. high (2) Provenance: Private Collection, Denmark formed in the 1980s.
