An embroidered still life picture, in the manner of the Dutch Old masters, 19th century, depicting a vase of flowers and leaves, worked in coloured silks and wools, framed, 50 x 38cm, together with a William IV sampler by Sophie West, dated 6th April 1835, worked in silks with a religious meditation, within a border of flowers and animals, 43.5 x 34cm (2) the main needlework is in good condition, possible fading to colours, the sampler is in poorer condition, with tears to the edges and interior Generally the colour is faded if you compare the front with and area behind as viewed where the back board is loose, there are few holes which are not really noticable, please see image of whole piece. Frame is ok, perhaps gilding is thin and not original. Please refer to images.
