The panda is a world-renowned rare animal in peril of extinction. Belonging to the family Ursidae of the order Carnivora, giant pandas feed on bamboo and are a specialty of China. Pandas are loved, especially by children, for their meek character and charming naiveness. Decimated by diseases and natural enemies, they are decreasing in number.
