A DEHUA 'PRUNUS' VASE,QING DYNASTY China, 18th-19th century. The pear-shaped body rising from a slightly spreading foot with broad foot rim to a tall flaring neck, finely applied with prunus sprays in high relief, stemming from branches of gnarly wood forming the handles. Provenance: From the collection of Georg Weifert (1850-1937). Thence by descent in the same family. Weifert was a Serbo-Austrian industrialist and the first governor of the Federal Bank of the Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Condition: Excellent condition with only minor wear. Minor firing flaws. The glaze with intentional crackling.
