A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE LOBED TURREENS AND COVERS, QING China, 18th-19th century. Finely enameled and cold-painted above the glaze to depict deer, monkey, ram and goat accompanied by numerous birds amid rockwork and blooming trees, a single peach with its leaves serving as handle. Provenance: From the collection of Georg Weifert (1850-1937). Thence by descent in the same family. Weifert was a Serbo-Austrian industrialist and the first governor of the Federal Bank of the Kingdom of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. Condition: Minimal chipping to edges and one handle, some firing imperfections, wear and traces of use. Overall still very good condition. Weight: 2,496 g in total Dimensions: Diameter 22.5 cm each Note the iron red Jintang faji four-character mark to the base of each.
