A THANGKA OF VAJRASATTVA, 18TH TO 19TH CENTURY Tibet, 1780-1820. Painted with gouache on cloth with fine original brocade mounting, the central figure of Vajrasattva is flanked by Guru Rinpoche, Buddha Akshobya, Buddha Amithaba and Padmapani. Inscription to the reverse. Provenance: Collection of Mrs. L. and Mr. B., a former UNESCO Ambassador to India, in office from 1960 to 1970. Condition: Creases, losses of pigment, stains, yet overall in fair and original condition.
