SIX SILVER REPOUSSÉ LIDDED BOXES WITH EROTIC SCENES India, late 19th - early 20th century Comprising a large rectangular lidded box, on a plain flat base, the lid with figural repoussé decoration consisting of an erotic scene in a traditional Indian interior, the sides with a continuous scrolling vegetal spray, 8cm x 10cm; and five smaller rectangular lidded boxes, with similar erotic scenes, possibly inspired by the Kamasutra , the sides as well with vegetal decorations, the largest 4.5cm x 10cm. Provenance: in a private Swiss collection since the late 1970s.
