Rare, Chinese Ming Dynasty Xuande Blue and white fruit abundant porcelain plate. Finest porcelain potted in shallow vessel form, with broad wide central interior, rounded cavetto gently tapering to open wide, with a slightly flared lip and raised with round shallow draft. All reserved in clean white underglaze base color which contrast against the cobalt fine blue color. The Exterior delicately decorated with abundant ripe pomegranate fruit, lychee, pear, peach, grape and orange called six Chinese legend symbolism fruits. Enclosed with double fine blue rings lines on the upper mouth and the foot base rim. After the flowers comes the fruit. The mouth rim reveals the cut edges during the making process, and the base left unglazed with grayish creme-brown ground and dark spots of firing marks. The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark grayish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze grayish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze. The glaze is seamless and gives off a beautiful luster, with the colors maintaining excellent vibrancy.
