Fine casted Chinese Tibetan Ming Dynasty gilt bronze and jewel inlaid Buddha deity figure of Pratisara, Yellow Pancha Raksha, with three faces and Ten hands. The three heads have a serene face. Each face has three eyes. The five right hands in meaningful gesture and hold a vajra and lasso. The five left, a bell and a wrathful gesture. Wearing an inner garment and Adorned with colorful jewels inlaid. Seated in royal-ease position, upon double lotus throne pedestal. Dimensions: Height: 9 1/2" Width: 8"PROVENANCE: Ralph Dewey (1917-2017) of Indiana. Ralph obtained a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Institute of Technology. He went on to work as a chemical engineer for Edmont for almost 45 years until his retirement. He also served as Museum President and Secretary for Friends of the Library, Chairman of Edmont investment Committee and President for the Hospice Board. Ralph was passionate about his hobbies, which included collecting antiques.
