Towards the end of the 19th century, furniture made of bovine horns was presented in the United States by the German furniture maker who emigrated to Texas, Friedrich Wenzel, who exploited the large quantity of horns present in the New World. The fascination of this fancy furniture has always resided in the intention to bring nature into the urban landscape, which at the time was going through the industrial revolution, with a taste that borders on kitsch: this furniture fully demonstrates how the perception of the viewer and the user is the key to interpreting the canons of beauty, as the saying goes: "It is not beautiful what is beautiful, but it is beautiful what is pleasing".
