|此笔管及笔帽皆以木为胎，外壁厚髹朱漆，复加剔刻。剔红云鹤纹毛笔，纹饰繁缛，在万字锦地上镂空雕云气纹饰，有鹤徐徐而来。剔红需在木胎上经过数十上百次的髹漆。当漆达到一定的厚度，再以高浮雕的手法雕刻，得到剔红作品。于笔管这种小件上雕刻，可见刀法之娴熟。整器线条流畅，刀法深邃，包浆肥厚，为典型清中期文房佳器，且保存完好，极为珍罕。
