Exhibitions Il Settecento a Roma, Rome 1959, no. 201. Francesco Fidanza, who was born into an artists´ family, studied with Claude Vernet and Lacroix de Marseille. From these two painters, Fidanza adopted the motif of harbour scenes which were much sought-after at that time. Der aus einer Malerfamilie stammende Francesco Fidanza lernte bei Claude Vernet und Lacroix de Marseille. Von diesen Malern übernahm er u. a. das seinerzeit sehr gefragte Bildsujet der Hafenansicht. Eine Gemälde-Serie italienischer Häfen malte Fidanza für den Vizekönig von Italien Eugène Beauharnais.
