An 18th century carved wood figure of Catherine of Alexandria, presumably Spanish Carved in the round, with partially overpainted older polychromy.. A figure of the saint designed for a frontal viewpoint shown standing in contrapposto with her left foot resting upon the head of Emperor Maxentius. Her voluminous robes are decorated with scattered flowers and her eyes are made of glass. The right hand and the fingers of the left hand partially lost. Wear with losses. Height 66 cm. Auf Vorderansicht gestaltete Darstellung der in stark bewegtem Kontrapost stehenden Heiligen, unter ihrem linken Fuß das Haupt des Kaisers Maxentius. Ihre voluminösen Gewänder sind mit Streublumen verziert, die Augen sind aus Glas eingesetzt. Rechte Hand und Finger der linken Hand teilweise verloren. Bestoßungen mit Verlusten. Höhe 66 cm.
