Louis XVI, Strasbourg ca. 1780. The dial signed J.J. HENTSCHEL À STRASBOURG.
Gilt bronze case, decorated with ram heads, a lion's hide, the top featuring a Bacchus head. Enamel dial "en courbet" with the hours in Roman numerals and the minutes in Arabic numerals. Movement with verge escapement, striking the 1/2-hour on bell. 1 key.
