Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong rose famille porcelain double gourd vase with flower paterns. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, suspending a tall cylindrical neck, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, with a narrow opening. The exterior masterfully covered in an even coat of a deep red glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white underglaze. The iron red glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the underglaze grayish-red concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep red-black.
