ARCHAIC MOONLIGHT PORCELAIN VASE, HU
China, Qing Dynasty, Republic / Minguo
It rests on a ring-shaped heel with a rounded belly, shoulder with two projecting flanges and a trumpet-shaped neck. The shoulder also has two moulded lion-headed handles holding hanging rings. The exterior is covered with a vibrant sky blue glaze called "moonlight". Below, the six-character apocryphal mark in zhuanshu and cobalt blue of Emperor Qianlong (baking cracks below).
