盘为白玉质，玉质温润，内外壁均减地浅浮雕西番莲纹，盘心浮雕菊花纹，周围小楷阴文刻乾隆御题诗一首，文曰：量材为器匪琼英，工致讶难意想成，喀吗匠能逞彼巧，专诸人或逊其精。相金钉宝抚无迹，簇叶攒花视有情。每忆旅獒篇着训，摛吟还觉愧平生。文后又书“乾隆乙未孟春御题”款，及“比德”、“朗润”二方篆文。款识“乾隆乙未孟春御题”暗刻篆书款。
