A Japanese Satsuma earthenware, koro and cover by Kinkozan, Meiji period, the compressed circular body painted and gilt with a continuous shoreside scene of bijin and children beneath a reticulated shoulder and cylindrical neck, flanked by a pair of gilt buddhistic lion mask handles, on short tripod feet, the domed cover with reticulated panels and simulated brocade ground, iron red and gilt signature seal to base, height 12.5cm (section of cover missing and wear to gilt).
