The dial bearing the signature Jump, London The waisted tear-drop shaped case veneered in flame mahogany to the front, with a short horizontal lockable door to the lower part, the centre with applied panel, the sides of the case constructed from a long thin sheet of painted tin, decorated to mimic the colour and flame of mahogany, the tin band screwed directly into blocks mounted on the conforming pine backboard, the two-piece silvered 10.5inch silvered dial with a dotted minute band enclosing the Roman numerals, with blued steel spade shaped hands and a counterpoised brass centre seconds hand, with rise and fall regulation dial below XII (the chapter ring possibly associated), the movement with rectangular plates united by knopped pillars, with maintaining power to the five wheel train now terminating in a deadbeat escapement using jewelled pallets (a repairers mark to the backplate reads "New Anchor...1907, J. Tate"), to a wood rod pendulum, driven by a thin lead weight measuring 25cms x 14cms x 1.5cms (10ins x 5.5ins x 0.5ins) with integral pulley. With restorations. Running. 1.22m (4ft.) high
