Of rectangular form with pointed top and widened bottom, the archaic bronze vessel yi depicts Taotie masks on the sides, between birds and phoenix band patterns, incised with archaic text.|Western Zhou Dynasty period.||Height: 15 in (38.1 cm) Length: 7 3/4 in (19.7 cm) Width: 6 3/4 in (17.1 cm)|西周 獸面紋銅方彝|四坡式屋頂形器蓋，上有蓋鈕，深腹，器壁平直而略內斜。蓋、及器身皆飾獸面紋及鳳鳥紋，然為不同的結構，蓋面為倒置的分解式獸面紋，有一對宏大的外卷角，腹部為虎頭形的獸面紋，其獸角為造型為彎尾內勾的龍形，頗為奇特，這種紋飾只見於甚精的器物上。在青銅器中方彝的數量比較少，因此，每一件器物都是比較珍貴的，而此器造型莊重大方，紋飾精麗，鑄造一絲不苟。蓋內有三行十八字銘文，更顯此器珍貴。
