Of bulbous form, the vase stands on ring foot, rising to body painted with deer in natural setting, two deer head masks carved on the side acting as handles, bottom bears six character QIANLONG mark. Also includes Spink & Son Auction sticker on the bottom.|Qing Dynasty period.||Height: 18 1/2 in (47.0 cm) Width: 13 1/2 in (34.3 cm)|清乾隆 粉彩百鹿尊|底書“大清乾隆年製”六字篆書款。圓口，垂腹，圈足。通體施白釉，肩部飾鹿首耳。器身繪粉彩山水苑百鹿圖。畫面中山石、樹葉多以綠彩繪成，施彩濃厚；群鹿、枝幹以赭、黑等彩作畫，群鹿活現，枝幹蒼勁，筆繪生動細膩。因其造型似牛頭，又名“牛頭尊”。又因器型多繪百鹿紋，所以又叫百鹿尊。胎體厚重，造型端莊。器腹以粉彩繪山水百鹿圖，百鹿神態各異，或奔跑、或嬉戲、或覓食、或小憩，一派生機勃勃的景象，四周襯以參天古樹，山巒迭嶂及瀑布溪流，繪畫形象生動，自然逼真。鹿與“祿”諧音，故又稱“百祿尊”。祿即俸祿，百祿形容俸祿之高厚，囙此百鹿紋是祝頌加官進祿的吉祥圖案。
