* A GROUP OF EIGHT NASKH CALLIGRAPHIC LOOSE FOLIOS PROPERTY FROM AN IMPORTANT PRIVATE EUROPEAN COLLECTOR Iran, 19th century and earlier Arabic manuscript pages and calligraphic compositions on paper, comprising five from Qur’ans, mostly laid on board including two with Persian interlinear translations and a double-page finely illuminated in gold and polychromes in a modern mount; a folio with a quote from the first Shi’a imam, Ali, signed Mohammad Al Baqa, dated 1314AH (1897); a further prayer, signed in s hikasteh script Abdul Wiqar (?), dated 1218AH (1803); and a mashq folio sprayed with gold, with the letter Sad in all its connecting varieties in the centre, the largest 24cm x 16.5cm, 37.5cm x 26cm including card mount.
